Steve Nash and fucking Aaron Carter? Is anyone else dumbfounded? I can't even begin to figure out why this has happened. And the caption at Getty Images was gloriously unhelpful...maybe it would make more sense if I lived in New York, but the best I can gather is that they're perhaps at a...restaurant?

Anyway. grammar_glamour helpfully pointed out that although Aaron is cuddling up to the National Basketball Association's Most Valuable Player, he is in fact wearing a shirt emblazoned with a baseball cartoon. Classic.

Also? Note the wedding ring. Steve is flamboyantly married now, which is rather debilitating when it comes to slashing him. I'll just have to find a new angle, I suppose.

Oh! But this is good news: Steve won the Espy for Best NBA Player. (The Espys, by way of explanation for some of you on my flist, are awards given out by ESPN, the main sportscasting network here in America.)

Another random note: the public radio station here in Phoenix has been playing the instrumental break from Placebo's "Burger Queen" during the traffic updates. I wonder whose idea that was? Not that it isn't a gorgeous piece of music, because it is, but anyone familiar with the lyrical content knows why I raise an eyebrow every time I hear it.
